Life & Style & Living
The very first letter to break the code.
We are starting the Spring Season based on "heritage" and sustainability thanks to creative auctions under the patronage of Piguet Auction House Geneva, a fixture on the Swiss market as well as international markets. Piguet Auction House ranks among the most important Swiss auction houses.
Any question to start the post?
Could you name us a common point between luxury leather bags, painting collectors, watch lovers, and makers.
Answer is H E R I T A G E.
Here we are. Heritage and circular economy have some common roots I wish to develop some here in this first letter.
No need to be a start-up boss, an inventor or a designer to get involved in the movement of circular economy! And as said Walter Stahel (Product-Life Institute), circular-economy champions are manifold: second-hand markets such as auction houses, eBay and antique dealerships.
Waste volumes have been increasing in all shared spaces and we have to think to holistic solutions.
Auction houses such as Piguet is deeply considering these aspects of reusing, and think "renewable proprietorship, as well as a new life".
As discussed with Mr Bernard Piguet and Ms Morgane Hérault, young generations are also part of the process. Young people are curious, are very earth-sensitives and planet-lovers, and they love to mix and match materials, colors, style and eras.
Millenials are thinking fast, virtuous and circular. They appreciate the online auctions Piguet offers.
Auctions also mean engagement and leads. Auctions can be exciting and ephemeral, even if the products are dated for two centuries! The process is extremely different than buying straight to the boutique.
Last but not least, Bernard Piguet volunteers his years of experience as an auctioneer to conduct auctions or participate in conference that are organized for charities or cultural events. Piguet Auction House lent its services to the Foundation Respirer which funds further research into cystic fibrosis and lung transplants, to name of few…
